Millcreek Canyon

General Information

Get out and into some beautiful surroundings.


Millcreek Canyon is part of the
Wasatch Mountains, which are located on the
east side of the Salt Lake valley in Utah.

It is part of the Tri Canyons:
Millcreek, Little Cottonwood,
and Big Cottonwood.

Millcreek Canyon is located near
the towns of Millcreek and Holladay, Utah.

The canyon is in between Parley's Canyon
and Big Cottonwood Canyon.

It is widely considered the most
accessible canyon from Salt Lake City,
but is less visited than
its neighboring canyons.

Millcreek Canyon is the only canyon
of the Tri Canyons that allows dogs.

Many of its trails are suitable
for Nordic skiing, snowshoeing,
mountain biking, snowbiking,
trail running, and hiking.

There are also many picnic sites,
fishing areas, and opportunities
for backcountry camping.
